Introduction to the “Choose Green for Health” Campaign
The “Choose Green for Health” campaign was launched by Manulife with a message that encourages people to adopt a positive, healthy lifestyle and always choose what’s best for themselves.

To convey this spirit in a fresh and engaging way to younger audiences, Marvy collaborated with Manulife to develop a gamified AR Filter on TikTok using voice recognition technology, turning the act of spreading a message into a fun and meaningful interactive experience.

The campaign was launched in early August 2025, offering a wide range of attractive prizes for TikTok participants.


Concept & Gameplay

Inspired by the spirit of “Choose Green for Health” – choosing positive energy to overcome life’s challenges – Marvy and Manulife transformed this message into a unique voice-controlled AR game.

In the filter, players use their own shout to make the character jump over a series of obstacles—symbolic rocks representing stress, anxiety, and life’s difficulties.
Each shout not only propels the character forward but also serves as a metaphor: as long as you dare to speak up and choose positivity, you can overcome any obstacle to reach a healthier life.

When the character reaches the finish line, vibrant fireworks light up along with the message “CHOOSE GREEN FOR HEALTH”, paired with cheerful sound effects—creating an energetic and feel-good victory moment that perfectly embodies Manulife’s “green living” spirit.

🎮 Gameplay Flow:

  • The filter starts with a Manulife-branded intro frame.

  • The player uses their voice (shout) to make the character jump and dodge obstacles representing life’s challenges.

  • Upon reaching the finish line, fireworks and the “Choose Green for Health” message appear with celebratory sounds.
    (The ending sequence is slightly extended to heighten emotional impact and encourage users to share their victory moments.)

Color Palette & Design (UI)

The filter’s main color is green – symbolizing “Green SM” (Strong Living), vitality, freshness, and a positive spirit.
This shade of green not only represents Manulife’s brand identity but also reflects sustainability and the journey toward healthy living — aligning perfectly with the “Choose Green for Health” message.

Design Assets (2D AR Filter)


Visually, Marvy used bright cartoon graphics, smooth animations, and soft lighting effects, creating a lively and approachable experience full of positive energy.
Every frame was designed so that players not only have fun but also feel personally connected to the journey of overcoming challenges — choosing green, choosing health.

Real-World Implementation

The filter officially launched on TikTok in early August 2025, quickly becoming a viral trend thanks to its voice-controlled mechanic—a fresh experience for Vietnam’s filter market.

The campaign attracted participation from well-known influencers such as Simmy, Châu Muối, Hoàng Phương, and Sammy, sparking the energetic “Shout for Health” trend that encouraged users to share their fun, high-energy moments.


Results

Just two weeks after launch, the AR Filter achieved impressive results:

  • 2.3 million views

  • 141,000+ plays

  • 2,000+ user-generated videos

  • 100,000+ likes and nearly 5,000 shares

The “Choose Green for Health” effect quickly climbed to the Top 1% of most-used filters worldwide, reaffirming Marvy’s position as a leader in applying AR and gamified technology to brand campaigns — while spreading Manulife’s message of healthy, green, and positive living.
